- We improvise. That bomb needs to go off near the destroyer queen and as many of her offspring as we can get....even if it doesn't happen exactly where we need it to.
- All right. Let's see what we can do.
- This is a real tragedy. I'm glad we kept Ftokchak and his tribe alive, and that they're ready to join us against the dragons, but to lose their home like this...it's just sad.
- I agree. Next time, we'll try harder.
- I'm glad Ftokchak can look past his grief to see the big picture. We'll need skritt scouts and infiltrators in our fight against the dragons. I just wish we could have done more here.
- I agree. Next time, we have to do better.
- This will be quite a volatile mix, and I'm not just talking about the bomb powder. Skritt, destroyers, and us, all under one cavern roof? Explosive!
- How's the plan coming along?
- And we've got a front-row seat.
- In progress. We've gathered the explosive powder and enough skritt to make sure they have the mental acuity to build the bomb. It's just a matter of time.
- What if the destroyers attack before the bomb is ready?
- Then we get creative. Good thing that's our specialty, right? This scratch and all the skritt in it won't survive an all-out attack by the destroyer queen. And we still need them as allies.
- But what do we do, exactly?
- I don't know, but that bomb has to go off, and close enough to the queen to take her out. If all goes well, that happens in their nest. If not...it still needs to happen.
- All right. Here's to hoping all goes well.
- Nothing more soothing than waiting for a bunch of ansty, easily distracted skritt to build a bomb, is there? My hand aches just thinking about it.
- Where do things stand?
- Easy, partner. We can do this.
- We've got the explosive powder and enough skritt to figure out how to turn it into a bomb. We just need to deliver the payload to the destroyer queen's nest.
- What if they attack us before we're ready?
- We respond. Quickly. Our mission isn't just to save this skritt scratch, it's to recruit the skritt themselves to join our cause. Can't do that if they're dead, now can we?
- No, but I'd still like to have a backup plan.
- We've only got the one: set off the bomb near enough to the destroyer queen to do real damage. It has to happen. If not in her nest, then as close to her nest as we can manage.
- All right then. Let's get ready.
- You've never seen the Black Citadel?
- No, I was raised in a small Priory encampment in the Shiverpeaks.
- What brings you here, then?
- I'm visiting, myself. Enjoy your stay.
- Don't get lost, and you'll be fine. See you.
- I wanted to see the Black Citadel and walk on the ruins of Ascalon. It's an important part of our history. I didn't want to just read about it.
- How are things on the Vigil's end?
- Complicated. Dragons and dragon minions are everywhere, and seasoned soldiers are in short supply. We're bruised and battered, but still fighting.
- And the Pact?
- Sounds tough. Keep up the good work.
- Those Priory and Whisper sorts are slowing us down. They'll learn before long that it's more effective to hit things over the head than to stare at them.
- They just do things differently. Good luck.
- Does thinking about the unthought count?
- It does. Especially when you're imagining the unimaginable. What do you need?
- Information. What's new?
- Just checking in. See you.
- The Order's all whispers about the Elder Dragons. It's said an organization's recently formed to fight the dragons' corruption.
- Tell me more.
- I'm aware of the organization. Thanks, though.
- Members from the Vigil, Durmand Priory, and Order of Whispers are joining the cause. It must hold promise if the Order's willing to work with others.
- Maybe I'll check it out.
- Drippadurp
- Blarub
- Loilesh
- Ooo, quaggan was swimming East, to the safe place called Fort Trinity. Icky corpsified hylek rushed into the waters. Quaggan hid in the seaweed.
- Ah, that's why I didn't see you while I fought off the hylek.
