- Waine dead? Hoo. Sad. Quaggan hopes Waine's spirit is at peace with Mellaggan.
- Me too.
- Who are you, stridin' up to me like you're my equal! Back off, mate, before I grab a dolyak and turn you into a new kind of centaur.
- Er...why do they call you Piete the Unwashed?
- Whoa, there. I am out!
- When I was younger, a sneak took a peek at me in a hot spring. I caught him and threw him clear over the Shiverpeaks.
- I see where this is going. Gotcha.
- From that day onward, I won't take no bath. Rain water, sea spray, or the blood of my enemies: fine. But no baths!
- Well, I guess it gives you an advantage in the ring. Wshew!
- Wolf as my witness, I can't believe Waine went crazy like that.
- You're right on that one.
- You fightin' today? Well, I won't be announcin'. Pointless either way. Everyone knows Waine is gonna win.
- We'll see about that.
- Waine's defeated? Dead? No, it can't be!
- He attacked me after I won the match. It was my life or his.
- I'm sorry you're upset. Take care.
- Waine was the pride of this arena. Think of the fans! Think of the legends! THINK OF THE MONEY!
- You'll get over it. Bye.
- Oh, Balthazar, please send another brash young upstart with a magic weapon to earn me gobs of money. Please, I beg you!
- Are you fighting, or what?
- I might. Give me a minute.
- Seems like your friend's got some fight, after all. Let's see how they stand up to the other challengers.
- I think you'll be impressed.
- You brought a winner with you today! I wonder how long they'll last against the reigning champ?
- This is the fight I've been waiting to see.
- Fantastic fight! Great show! I don't suppose you might consider a permanent career in the pugilistic arts?
- Nice to meet you, Commander.
- What do we do now?
- Give me a minute. I'll be right back.
- The way I see it, we can either search for a dwarven relic to use, or craft one ourselves. How exciting! I'll let you decide.
- I need to think about this for a bit.
- I don't know what I like best: exploring ancient tombs, recovering powerful artifacts, or evading deathtraps.
- What sort of powerful artifacts are we looking for?
- Glad you enjoy your work.
- The Sanguinary Blade is an ancient sword, rumored to be very powerful. Powerful enough the dredge brought it here to destroy it.
- We'd better hurry, then!
- How dangerous are the centaurs?
- Murderously so. The three major tribes have formed a unified front against the humans of Kryta, but they'll raid and plunder anyone.
- Sounds like we've got our work cut out for us. Let's go.
- What can you tell me about centaurs?
- They're warlike, territorial, and they hate humans for stealing their land. I have a lot of relatives who can relate, of course, but the fact is that they're very, very dangerous.
- Very. They survive by raiding their neighbors and are utterly without mercy. They've been warring with humans lately, but anyone who enters their territory is taking a huge risk.
- How do we lure the guards away?
- We set off little booms with smaller stashes of powder. Centaurs come running, you beat them up, we steal powder. Simple, yes?
- Works for me. Let's get started.
- What's the delay?
- Well, we mustered all the skritt brains we needed and got the explosives. I don't think it's a delay, I just think a bomb this big takes time—time we don't have.
- Can we make it work in the time we do have?
- We have to. The skritt won't survive an all-out destroyer assault. If we're going to save them and recruit them against the dragons, we need that bomb.
- What if the destroyers attack before it's ready?
