- That's a long time.
- Thank you for the explanation.
- Orr has found its greatest enemy in my tribe. We hate the undead with all our bodies and souls. We've been fighting them for so long, and yet, we can still imagine a day when the sun will shine upon safe shores and waters. We have not given up hope.
- You've been fighting for a long time.
- I also have hope. Good-bye.
- This is bad! This is very bad! Get them off our beach!
- They won't hold it for long.
- I wish the undead would just die! There are so many of them!
- Maybe I can make your wish come true.
- I spend every minute of every day worried about when the next wave of undead will wash up and attack us. It's no way to live.
- Aren't hylek warriors?
- Some are, but not all. Some are cooks, hunters, priests, or parents. Some are too young to be anything. The undead don't attack only the warriors.
- Your race has had many losses?
- I know what you mean. Take care.
- You can't imagine the losses. We live here, on the shores of these waters, or deeper inland. The undead have ravaged our lands and many of our tribes.
- Why don't you flee?
- Keep up the good fight. Bye.
- Flee? To where? To the north? To the lands of the humans, the charr, or the norn? What home would we have there? No. We fight. We'll win, or we'll die. We cannot leave our homeland. Our bugs are here.
- I know how you feel. Good luck.
- This is terrible! Zintl will smite us if we don't take the temple away from these monsters!
- Tell your god we're on it.
- I saw this place in my Dream, many years ago, prior to my awakening. I've never forgotten it. It haunted me until the day I arrived on the shores of this island and knew that I'd found my duty.
- You foresaw defending the island?
- I'm glad you made it here.
- Not exactly. What I saw in my Dream was this island as experienced by other sylvari. I saw the past, not the future, and yet, this island has been endangered ever since the rising of Orr. Not much has changed, except the hylek have become weak.
- The hylek are weak? What do you mean?
- How amazing. Good-bye.
- The hylek tribes in this area have been besieged by undead for a long time. They've fought and died bravely. Only a fraction of their warriors and citizens survives. They've congregated here to put up a final defense.
- It's sad, don't you think?
- Admirable. Thanks for the insight.
- Sad? According to legend, a human shaman destroyed Orr to keep out the cat people known as the charr. If that's true, then he doomed us all to a lifetime of sorrow, pain, and early death. That's not sad. That's tragic.
- I see your point.
- I am hardened. I have baked in Zintl's light, but it no longer softens me. I have seen too much death, too much slaughter. I am ready for this tragedy to be over.
- You've lost many of your tribe's warriors?
- More than the survivors have fingers and toes. We are reduced almost to extinction. My tribe was once the greatest, the strongest, and the most handsome of this region. Now, we are shadows of ourselves. We cringe in fear and fight with desperation.
- Which tribe is yours?
- You're no longer alone. Hang on.
- The Bogotl tribe is my tribe. It has survived for thousands of years. I tell myself that we will continue to survive, and yet, this entire world is in danger. The dragons seek to consume it all, and we will be the meat in the soup.
- That's why we must stop them. Good luck.
- I've been watching the undead for awhile now, and I'm concerned. No matter how many we kill, they continue to rise from the depths. Orr was a vast city, and we have learned that the dragon's followers have the ability to create more.
- You don't think they're infinite, do you?
- I've noticed that too. Bye.
- Infinite? Ventari's hooves, I hope not. That's the most terrifying thought I've ever had. No, I prefer to keep hope alive and believe that we will reach the end of them. It'll be a long row to hoe, however, and we must do all in our power to outlast them.
- What do you recommend we do?
- Yes, we must. Good-bye.
- It's heroes like you who will change the direction of the wind. At every turn, you fight the dragons and their minions. You are tenacious like the dogwood and dangerous like the cactus. You are already doing what must be done.
- Is she okay?
- Even if you've lost your hop, Zintl still warms your back.
- You're a worshipper of this Zintl?
- I am Zintl's shaman. I collect his wisdom and share it with the tribes. Zintl is the lifebringer. He is pink at dawn, blushes with passion at the end of the day, and glows golden in between to warm and inspire us.
