- How does the patriarch come into play?
- The creature, whom I have labeled Colossus Rumblus, can create seismic disruptions on a whim. Attacking it as we are now would be madness. But fear not. I have a cunning plan.
- Which is?
- It's rather clever in its simplicity. Disguised as ghosts, we will convice a deceased human warlord to aid us against the patriarch.
- You sure this will work?
- Tell me about this patriarch you're worried about.
- Enough talk. Let's head to the crypts.

- Done.
- I'm ready and waiting, boss. What are we doing here?
- Reconaisssance. Stick close and I'll let you know when it's time to fight.
- Moss and lichen have grown over a portion of the mark etched into the tree. It's barely visible.
- Examine the mark.
- Long ago, someone carved a visible mark into the tree. It has eroded with weather and the creep of vines and moss.
- The wood of this tree has a mark etched into it. Time has taken its toll, making the pictogram difficult to see.
- Examine it.
- I'm no good at looking. I'll keep poking around, but if you find something to kill, call me.
- Keep at it. I'll sound the alarm if I see anything.
