Learn to dive underwater with the skimmer. If you also have the Skimming the Depths Skimmer Mount Mastery trained, this also increases the base ground speed of the skimmer and grants 3 seconds of stealth when entering or exiting water. (30s cooldown)
You can now dive with the skimmer using the newly unlocked Dive skill on the skimmer's Skill Bar. Change the Barrel Roll skill to now allow for continued Dashing while stamina exists. Also unlock the ability for your skimmer to detect threats and underwater treasure with Aetherlocation.
For the engage skill, holding down the Skill Key will now dismount instead of clicking. Clicking the skill will instead activate the dash but not the dismount. You can also use the newly unlocked Aetherlocation skill to toggle a pulsing sonar that detects nearby threats and hidden underwater treasures while enabled.

Gain access to Slipstream Boost and Water Jets. The Slipstream allows a speed boost above and below water as well as an increase in hover power. Water Jets gives the skimmer the power to shoot stored magic projectiles at nearby allies and enemies, healing allies and damaging enemies.
While the Slipstream Boost skill is active, hold down the hover skill to ascend further into the air than previously allowed for the duration of the skill. For the Water Jets skill, aim your skimmer at enemies and allies that you wish to target and let the projectiles loose.
4. Riptide Rider

Gain the ability to ride ley lines both above and below water as well as updrafts with the skimmer. When in an updraft or a ley line, you can break out of it by using the skimmer's Barrel Roll engage skill.
Ley lines are flows of magical energy. To use ley lines, simply direct your skimmer into them and allow the energy flow to boost your mount along.
Updrafts are pillars of swirling wind. To use updrafts, simply fly your mount into them and receive an elevation boost.
