- Do you have any information for me?
- If you intend to venture into Thundertroll Swamp, I must issue a warning. The trolls within are aggressive, as is to be expected. However, I have it on good authority that dispatching too many of them may give you a larger problem.
- What sort of larger problem?
- Wynne: Please...kill me. Now. She's coming.
- She wasn't specific. I suspect she was somewhat traumatized by her experience.
- Caithe: I will bear your pain, Sister.
- Krait. Undead. I could've had a nice, quiet lab closer to home. "Insufficient!" I declared. "I need a krewe with a lab in the heart of it all. How else can I conduct my research?" I should've listened to my recruiter.
- He recommended against this?
- Well, now you know.
- Wynne: Hurry.
- Of course he did. But I thought I knew everything. I've learned my lesson.
- Not to work out in the field?
- Not to krewe up with the sort of people who work out in the field. I could handle these setbacks on my own by simply constructing impenetrable defenses. But my egotistical, close-minded krewe mates won't let me take charge.
- Imagine that.
- This rusted shield is old enough to have belonged to whoever first held the fort. There is a shaky inscription scrawled on the back in poor handwriting.
- Read inscription.
- Wynne: (scream)
- Caithe: (crying)
- "I will hold back whatever evil comes to claim me. I will shield whoever stands behind me. I will not let my post fall. I will not let my people die."
- Faolain: Caithe! What have you done?
- I hope we can hold the fort with so few of us here. If the Vigil could spare an army to back us up, we'd be golden. But I suspect it won't take much for the undead to retake the fort.
- Faolain: Did she talk?
- You should make an effort to test the untested.
- Keep your chin up, and keep fighting.
- Caithe: No. Nothing of consequence.
- Keep an eye out for undead limbs. They can be frisky, but they make decent blunt weapons against their former owners.
- %num1% of %num2% Pieces Earned.
- You're right, I must predict the unpredictable. I wasn't sure if you'd recognize me. Keep your voice down; if the Vigil knew I was infiltrating their ranks, they wouldn't be too pleased.
- Have any information for a fellow Whispers agent?
- Down south past Shimmerstone Cave, members of the Order are looking to convince the hylek of Occuintl Ground to fight beside us as allies. They could probably use some help.
- %num1% of %num2% Miniatures Collected
- I hope you've come to support us in our fight. One can never have enough allies.
- Purple
- We must do our best to shield the unshielded.
- I'll see.
- Citrus Breeze
- Many valiants, including myself, were called on a Wyld Hunt to push back the undead here. We all dream of the Stone of Hazaan in the nearby ruined hylek village. As the undead are called to it, so are we, but to a different purpose.
- What's a Wyld Hunt?
- Red
- A Wyld Hunt is an undeniable calling that drives a sylvari to fulfill a certain purpose. Each Wyld Hunt is different for each person, but many sylvari can find themselves called to the same cause.
- Salmon
- And defend the undefended. I thought you looked familiar, but I wasn't sure. I had just joined the Order of Whispers when the Wyld Hunt called me. My superiors bid me best of luck and asked me to send reports from the front lines.
- Anything interesting you can tell me?
- Not many secrets here. Anything you want to learn about Dryground you can get by asking. Oh, but I do know that there've been teams sent in to explore the depths of Shimmerstone Cave, but no one has come out.
- That certainly is interesting. Thanks.
- I'm surprised by how many hylek have rallied to the cause, though I probably shouldn't be. They don't have much more to lose. Most are refugees from undead invasions or local residents defending their homes.
- They live in the area?
- Pine
- Bluebell
- Some of those who have villages farther away are still holding onto them. But most of the local hylek have lost their homes, as well, and they're fighting for a chance to rebuild.
