- Friend! Friend! I'm real. I promise.
- That was unpleasant.
- You can say that again.
- I feel like this place knows us—what we're afraid of.
- What do you mean?
- It does seem that way.
- The tower—and maybe Scarlet as well—keeps using our most personal fears against us.
- Hm. You may be right.
- I don't like this. What's happening?
- Don't worry. It's not real. It's the pollen playing with our minds.
- Okay. But...why are we seeing Aetherblades?
- Scarlet's signature is all over this. She must be exerting some influence once our defenses are weakened by the toxins.
- Time to go. We need to get to the bottom of this—or top, as the case may be. You ready?
- (hic) As I'll ever be.
- I guess we showed it, huh? So, now what?
- Now we cut out the heart of this plant and watch it die.
- Not feeling so well. Foo. Who let all the monsters into camp? They're looking at quaggan funny. Bad taste in quaggan's mouth. Mnam-mnam.
- Quaggan hopes they're bopping the krait on the head. Hard. And there's an evil plant too.
- They're saying the Nightmare Court has nurtured a terrifying bloom. It's spewing spores.
- Defeat Flame Legion soldiers and destroy their knick-knacks
- We've finally broken in. Poor Corentin. The first wave inside didn't fare too well. I hope he'll be okay. At least now we can bring this monstrosity down from the inside.
- I don't feel so well. Is anyone else seeing...
- You okay?
- The spores are getting to you.
- The colors are...oh. Something's very wrong.
- Relax. Help is on the way.
- I wish I could go explore the tower myself, but these spores have my direction sense all befuddled. They better be documenting this properly.
- What's happening in the tower?
- I'm unsure. They finally got in. That's all I know. Whatever's causing this toxic bloom of hallucinogenic spores has to be destroyed. I hope someone is up to the task.
- What's causing it?
- Best we can tell, it's a nightmarish plant. The tower is supporting it as it grows. That explains why these Nightmare courtiers were willing to work with krait—and vice versa.
- Mistress—Kari—still—missing. Heart—protocol—broken.
- Last—transmission—indicated—she—was—near—the—base—of—the—tower, researching.
- The krait and Nightmare Courtiers look irritated. That's a good sign. Now that we've breached the tower, we'll crush their plan from the inside out.
- Achooo! (sniffle) This fluff in the air is making my snout go nuts!
- Jeweling Station
- Mine too. Aaargh.
- Are you seeing that—
- I'm seeing lots of things I shouldn't be. Stand firm. It's nightmare magic.
- Tailoring Station
- Bloomanoo
- I swear, I didn't know!
- Didn't know what? Senna, you're losing it. Why don't you go lie down?
- It was all my fault.
- (sob)
- Oh, for crying out loud. The hallucinations caused by these spores must prey on one's feelings of guilt.
- Looks like I'm on my own here. Even the antitoxin we developed isn't strong enough to completely counter the spores' effects.
- I don't deserve to live!
- Poor quaggan. I wish we had an antidote. He's hallucinating, and I can't get him to sit still.
- Oh, the spore has hit the fan, so to speak. You'll forgive me if my thinking is squishy. I keep seeing my old mentor, and he's not happy with me.
