- That's kind of you to say.
- Did you hear about the Mad King's son? "The Bloody Prince." Why are human regents so violent?
- Can you tell me more about Trahearne?
- I have the terrible sensation that we'll see that Bloody Prince again.
- Bystander
- The Mad King is one thing. His son? No, thank you.
- Next Halloween, remind me to stay home and barricade my door. I want nothing to do with that Bloody Prince.
- I see. Good luck with that.
- Leave it to the Mad King to have a really screwed-up kid.
- That's wonderful. I look forward to meeting him. Thank you.
- "Mad King Thorn"
- Hello, my good subjects. It's so wonderful to see you again. I hope you're ready for a special, spooky Halloween!
- Your Mad King wants you to be merry. Your Mad King wants you to laugh. So, laugh!
- Your Mad King commands you to dance. So, dance!
- The wind turns chilly. The sky grows darker. It's time for the Mad King to rise again.
- Your Mad King wants you to do your duty. Salute!
- Your Mad King is feeling down. Maybe you should...cheer!
- Wrong! You did it wrong! You wound your Mad King with your sloppiness.
- Your Mad King is pleased! Pleased, I tell you. Why, I'm tickled down to my royal pantaloons.
- All of these festivities are making you weary! Your Mad King says, "Sleep!"
- Does your Mad King not intimidate you? Your Mad King demands you cower!
- Such music. The screams, the howls. Halloween is in the air.
- Welcome to the borderlands. Each world has laid claim to a similar patch of ground, but this one belongs to us.
- When we first arrived here we discovered this mysterious orb of power. It's stored in a special cradle here, and protected by elite guards. While we hold the orb, it provides an advantage to our side not only in the borderlands, but in the eternal battlegrounds as well. Beware: the enemy can capture our orb by holding one of these three keeps and depositing the orb on their altar of power. It's imperative that we control the orb at all times!
- If we can aid the nearby quaggan and gain their trust, they can turn the very weather against our enemies.
- Welcome to the borderlands. Each world has laid claim to a similar patch of ground, but this one belongs to the enemy.
- Why be normal when you can have lunacy?
- Bystander
- They hold a mysterious orb of power. It's stored in a special cradle here, and protected by their best guards. While they hold the orb, it provides an advantage to their side not just in the borderlands, but in the eternal battlegrounds as well. We can capture the orb by holding one of these three keeps and depositing their orb on an altar of power. Doing this will deny them their advantage and provide one to our side instead. Controlling the orb could well prove our key to victory.
- To help control this area, we can aid the nearby quaggan. If we gain their trust then they can turn the very weather into our ally.
- This area is known as the Eternal Battlegrounds.
- This is Stonemist Castle, a place of great power and the focus of our campaign in this area.
- The dredge here will help anyone who aids them against their enemies, the destroyers.
- Defeat the harpies that plague the local ogres, and we'll gain some powerful allies.
- The hylek here are troubled by the krait. Help them, and they'll join our side.
- Welcome to the Battle for the Mists. I know you're eager to begin laying siege to our enemy, but first I need to cover some basics.
- This is our portal keep. It's impervious to assault. No matter where you are in the Mists you'll be able to return to this safe place, but remember that your enemy will be able to do the same.
- This is a keep. Each one is a heavily fortified position that provides our side with a great amount of power. When captured, a keep can be upgraded, improving its usefulness with things like sturdier walls, defensive siege weapons, and waypoints.
- This is a tower. While not as impressive as a keep, a tower can provide our side with an important bastion in the battle. Towers may also be enhanced, but have fewer upgrade options than keeps.
- Our main targets out here in the Battle for the Mists are guarded by heavy walls and stout doors as well as enemy defenders. If you want to get through those doors, you're going to need siege engines.
- There are many different types of siege engines available.
- Use siege golems and flame cannons to get through enemy doors.
- Trebuchets and catapults are long-range engines designed to knock down walls.
- If you've got problems with enemy attackers, try an arrow cart or ballista.
- While defending you'll have access to cannons, mortars, and boiling oil, perfect for taking out enemy siege engines as well as enemy attackers.
- Need to build a siege engine? Need to reinforce or repair a wall or gate? Then you're going to need supplies.
- Located throughout the Mists are various types of supply camps.
- Whether it's a mine, a lumberyard, or a fishing village, capturing one of these camps will keep your side supplied.
- If you hold a supply camp and a nearby castle, keep, or tower, the camp will send out dolyak caravans loaded with supplies.
- If these caravans can make it to their destination they'll restock the supply depot, allowing you to withdraw supplies as needed.
