- Any idea about the Inquest?
- Thanks for the information. Take care.
- Nothing concrete. All we know with any certainty is that they have a large force in the area, especially further west, and that they are working to establish ties with the Inquest for some purpose.
- What kind of forces do they have to the west?
- Working with the Inquest? What is that all about, do you suppose?
- If you're headed that way, prepare yourself. They have camps filled with dozens, even hundreds of bandits. On top of that, they have a fortress.
- You mentioned something about resources?
- I'll keep an eye out. Thanks.
- Only the Six know. Knowing both of these groups, it can't be anything good. Perhaps you can find out more. Or even better, help put a stop to their plans.
- You mentioned something about supplies?
- Hmm. An attack? I wouldn't put it past those bandits, though I'm not sure I trust the source of this information. Still, thank you for bringing this to me. Is there anything else?
- What are the Seraph doing here?
- Not this time. I'll be going.
- Are you blind? Bandits are attempting to wipe out this camp and everyone in it! Help us defend this base or get out of the way!
- We're getting ready to make those bandits regret ever being born, that's what's going on.
- That sounds nasty. What's the plan?
- OK, I don't think I want to know what you have planned. Bye.
- Are you blind? Bandits are attempting to wipe out this camp and everyone in it! Either help us defend this base or get out of the way!
- So be it.
- This swamp is full of bushes that grow noxious seeds called baneberries. We're gathering up a whole bunch to grind up and drain, extracting the deadly liquid to use as a poison.
- So you're planning to poison the bandits?
- Yes, they've had it coming for a while, and frankly we don't have much choice. We won't survive out here if we don't take every advantage that we can.
- How will you get this poison into the bandits?
- Sometimes you have to do what you have to do.
- In two ways. We'll make one batch that is highly concentrated, which we'll dump into the bandit water supply. They have a limited number of wells that sends fresh water out to all their camps.
- And the other way?
- The leftover liquid and pulp we can make into a paste which we can smear on their rations. Even one taste of that toxin is enough to send the strongest soldier rushing to the latrines.
- Wow, that's brutal. Remind me not to get on your bad side. Good-bye.
- Cole Warfield
- The bandits have captured the Seraph camp to the north. We need help liberating it!
- Bandits are attacking the Seraph camp to the north. We need to stop them!
- Hold tight, lieutenant. I'll get reinforcements.
- Hello, stranger. The name's Cole Warfield. You hunting out here, too?
- I'm %str1%. Strange. You don't look like a Seraph. What are you doing out here?
- Just passing through.
- What can I do for you, %str1%?
- What are you doing in this camp?
- That's all I needed to know. Thanks for your time.
- I'm a hunter, come to test my skills against the local wildlife. And the Seraph let me stay because I've been giving them fresh game to replace their stolen supplies.
- What's out here to hunt?
- Speaking of plying my trade, it's time I got back to mine. Good-bye.
- The Seraph are hard up for fresh meat, so I trade some game I caught in exchange for some space of my own here.
- A hunter, huh? How's the game out here?
- You'll see mostly boars and skale out in the wilds, but you can get some good sport out of hounds, hyenas, and even a wind rider.
- Good hunting then.
- What were you yelling about?
- Bandits. They're attacking the Seraph camp just north of here. The Seraph are outmanned and undersupplied. I need people to get in there and help them.
- I'll protect them.
- The explosives are ready for transport.
- Those bandits have taken over the Seraph camp north of here. We need to take it back. Are you game?
