- Please, the krait have taken so many of our people. Even my husband. Will you help?
- They're taking people as slaves! Please help; my husband is down there!
- I'm not going down there!
- Welcome to Triskelly Quay. We are—well, we used to be—a fairly prosperous fishing village, supplying fish and crabs to cities as far as Lion's Arch. This was a quiet, peaceful place.
- What happened?
- The krait happened. They've taken over the lake. Nearly all of the fish have been eaten, and the townsfolk are in constant danger of being attacked or taken into slavery.
- The krait?
- Krait are cruel and vicious water-dwelling creatures, but they can come ashore, too. They used to stick mostly to the sea. Ever since they showed up, I've had to worry about my husband's safety.
- I don't know if Herman is stubborn or oblivious. I suspect it's a bit of both. But he's determined to keep trying to fish, despite the danger. Every day I'm worried he won't come home.
- Maybe I'll go talk to him. Good-bye.
- I'm digging for pearls. What does it look like?
- Right. Why?
- You sound just like my wife. She's always harping on about my pearl hunting.
- Why does she care?
- Your wife?
- Sounds like a smart lady. Bye.
- She doesn't seem to care that these pearls are our livelihood. She thinks I'll get snatched by the krait if I'm down here.
- Snatched?
- She's may be right, but it's your life.
- Yeah, Ida. I love her, but she's paranoid. She hasn't come down to the docks since the krait showed up in the lake.
- Krait have been enslaving anything that breaks the water's surface lately. I guess it is a bit dangerous, but like I tell my wife, we're safe enough here.
- You're not worried?
- Maybe you should listen to her. Bye.
- The krait don't slither their way onto our beaches. Besides, we have the Seraph here if their brains were that waterlogged.
- You seem pretty confident. Good luck.
- Elderly Fish Monger
- Something's coming. I can feel it in my knee.
- You'll never catch them if they reach the water!
- Blasted krait! Don't come back!
- I've been fishing these waters for decades. I never met a creature that could stop me, except for old age.
- You must have seen some things.
- I've seen every inch of this lake. I remember swimming one day when the quaggan showed up. And soon after those nasty krait.
- Quaggan?
- Krait?
- I don't mind the quaggans so much. They're a little strange, but they're peaceful folk. They didn't used to be in this area, but all you get out of them if you ask is that the sea has gotten too dangerous.
- Don't get me started. Krait are horrible creatures. They're cold, intelligent, and ruthless. They attack or enslave anyone they can get their hands on. I don't know what they're doing here.
- And the quaggan?
- (sob) Oh, gods!
- Right. Bye.
- The krait... They took everyone. The town will never recover.
- I won't let them get away with this.
- We showed 'em. They'll think twice about attacking us again. But still...
- Yeah, we sure showed them. Later.
- The krait still got some of us. If I were younger, I'd go give 'em a good bashing. I even have a special tool for it!
- Tool?
- I'm sure you would.
- Yup! My krait wacker. I've been using these metal bars to crack krait skulls for decades. You want one?
- Sounds good. Thanks!
- No, thanks. I have to go.
- Help us! They're snatching everyone.
