- Run like a dolyak with his tail on fire?
- That's inspired.
- I thought so.
- All right. Let's move out before the cavalry arrives!
- Ah! Home sweet home.
- Don't get too comfy. This war isn't over.
- That's the best part about this war. There's always fighting to be done.
- Sometimes you scare me. I'm glad you're on our side.
- Time to polish the guns.
- It's time to strike against Orr. First, we free the Keep, then sortie on Claw Island! Rise up, Warmaster!
- Yes, General!
- Snap out of it, Hekja! We're on your side!
- He's holding Hekja prisoner...but he can't hold anything with no arms. Let's get him!
- We formed the Pact so quickly. One of Zhaitan's agents could've easily slipped in.
- But why? What does Syska gain from discrediting you? Why sacrifice her own troops?
- If she did use illusion, she's either a mesmer or in league with one.
- Mesmer magic is not my area of expertise, but I'll do what I can to get to the truth.
- I spoke with Syska in the field hospital. She seemed entirely normal.
- If illusions are part of this problem, we're probably facing a powerful mesmer.
- That would also explain the false version of me you mentioned.
- But why? If it's Syska, what does she hope to gain by separating you from the Pact?
- Wait...that's an Orrian eagle. Why is it here, so far from Orr?
- Fen, the giant living in Mountainroot Lair, has used a shrinking potion on himself. He wishes to make a pilgrimage through one of the smaller cave systems. While under the effects of the potion, he is in a weakened state, so he can be easily threatened by monsters that were once trivial to him.
- Protect Fen as he makes his way into the Bonerattler Caverns.
- Fen
- Fen's destination.
- Revive Fen.
- Hello again, my friends. It's been too long.
- The world has become a darker place since you've been gone. Too much so to tell.
- The cave, at least, is still much the same as you remember it.
- (laugh) Well, your saplings have gotten a little bigger I suppose.
- Am I a little smaller than last time? Oh well. At least it worked.
- I should finally be able to see my friends again. The passage doesn't look so small now.
- Oh, Elise. I'm sorry I wasn't there when the attack came.
- I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.
- We made it. Thank you, my friend. I can take care of myself from here on out.
- The potion's weakness effects are wearing off.
- Poor Fen. He can't forgive himself for not being there when I needed him.
- He just needs more time.
- While he was away, centaurs attacked our settlement. Everything happened so quickly. It's all a blur, but it wasn't his fault. No one knew the centaurs were coming.
- Maybe some day he'll understand that.
- The shrinkshroom potion is an old family recipe handed down through generations of Fens.
- Are there side effects?
- You'll have to teach me that recipe some day.
- Unfortunately, yes. Two side effects. First, I'll be covered in spores from one of the cave's delicacies. Anything that eats the mushrooms will naturally be drawn to me.
- And the second?
- For awhile after I've applied it, the potion saps my strength. I won't be able to put up much of a fight against anything that wants to harm or eat me.
- I don't like being small. How do you do it all the time? I can't even hold my own against these creatures and the potion makes them all think I'm tasty. This part of the shrinkshroom potion's effects can be annoying.
- Don't worry about it.
- Past events help shape who we are today. Brave adventurers, like you, help me remember my past without having to relive it.
