- Can you be more specific?
- Not at the moment.
- We're gearing up to take Kinar Fort back from the Branded. It's gonna be glorious.
- I'm ready to go with you and help.
- What are you waiting for?
- Thanks, but I think I'll pass.
- Don't tempt me. I'd wipe the floor with you, but orders are orders, and I'm supposed to stay put.
- You've been ordered to sit here and wait?
- That's right!
- The centurion ordered us to rest and recharge after our last battle. If it weren't for that, I'd be out there smashing branded skulls right now.
- I'm rested. I'll go get the fight started.
- You rest, then. I have things to do.
- Welcome to Kinar Fort, our own little skritt-pile of the world.
- What are your orders, soldier?
- Glad to be here.
- We're the Sentinel brigade. We were hand-picked to guard the border from creatures coming out of the Brand. We're the wall between the Brand and our camps to the west. We keep the north-south road and supply lines open, too.
- Are there more Sentinel stations like this?
- All along the western edge of the Brand. We fight hard and often. Under no circumstances can we allow branded creatures to cross this line. Can you imagine if they got all the way to the Black Citadel? Of course, they never would.
- What would happen if they got past you?
- They won't. But, just for imagining, if they did, they'd invade Legion strongholds west of here. They'd interfere with operations and complicate our efforts to get control over the Ascalonian ghosts. It wouldn't be pretty.
- I see. I wish you success.
- Ouch, my aching head. Is the ground spinning, or is it just me?
- It's you. I'll let you rest.
- A little busy right now.
- Oh, sorry.
- I love this job!
- Any further troubles from your trip through the mirror?
- Watch yourself. Those critters can be tricky.
- Are you willing to help us recapture Kinar Fort?
- Sign me up!
- Kralkatorrik happened. The dragon's Branded minions overwhelmed our defenses and took Kinar Fort. We need to get it back. You in?
- I'll help. Point the way.
- I can't right now. I'm sorry.
- Sentinel Machinist Darkmuzzle
- More supplies for the war effort, excellent! I'll get these set up straight away, Centurion.
- Live long and fight hard. I'm scheduled to run the northern route next. We'll be leaving soon.
- What's to the north?
- Hungry sentinels, that's what. I make three stops on my route. I'd make four, but I can't get to the Maw.
- What's the Maw?
- That's too bad, I'll be going now.
- Brokentooth Maw. It's one of our camps, north of here. They've been cut off. We can't get supplies to them. We don't even know if they're still alive, but they're tough as nails. My gold's on them.
- So, no one goes there?
- Ouch. Bad luck. I wish them well.
- Not many to my knowledge. Crossing the Brand is no task for the faint of heart, and even if you make past the branded creatures, you have to contend with harpies, ogres, and all manner of nasty things.
- Who was Herboza the Wretched?
- Skritt are the thievenist, skulkenist, most irritatenist parasites around.
- Skritt problem, huh? You're in luck. Send me in, and you can kiss your troubles good-bye.
- What did they do?
- Yeah, they're jerks!
- They snuck in and snatched supplies out from under our snouts. I'm hamstrung without those supplies. How are we supposed to raise turrets or prep mines without the right parts? The centurion sent a soldier to get them back, but one against many like that is begging for failure.
