- Of course. He goaded me into a fight at the moot and cheated me out of the win. Now he refuses a rematch while bragging that my victories only add to his legend.
- Then you should enter the Big Brawl. Mikkel is last year's champion. If you beat him in the finals, you take his title.
- A public thrashing will shut his bragging mouth for good. It's an excellent plan.
- Thanks, but there's a catch: Whitebear is opening it up to everyone this year, not just norn. We have no clue what opponents you may face.
- The tougher the competition, the greater the glory. It'll make taking down Mikkel that much sweeter. Where do I start?
- I was hoping you'd say that. Garm and I will see you at Edenvar's Homestead for the preliminary bout. We wouldn't miss it for all the ale in Tyria!
- Why are you here, Slayer? Even if you reach the finals, I'll just stomp you. Why waste everybody's time?
- If it's so easy, you should be happy for the chance to do it again. Or we could just fight now and get it over with.
- No. I want to see you humiliated by everyone else. Go ahead. Enter. You'll never even make it to the finals!
- Whitebear's about to start things off, Mikkel. Stand aside and let our newest contestant check in.
- I'm ready. The sooner we start, the sooner I can wipe the smirk off that cheater's face.
- Very well. In this preliminary free-for-all, only the last two brawlers standing move to the next round. Once you're in the circle, the fight begins!
- Mikkel Toivosson
- A worthy competitor. You were right about this one, Eir.
- Choose a challenge for the next round, Slayer, since you did the best here. Your opponent will take the other challenge. After that, the Big Brawl resumes!
- The first choice is Nollarr, a vicious and prideful Son of Svanir who likes to stir up trouble. To preserve the peace, Nollarr needs to be humbled.
- Second is Hekka Ravenswealth, a Solitude Vale merchant who says the area is infested with murellows, a new and dangerous beast. They're ruining her business and need to be removed.
- Choose challengers, battle them, then report to my charr friend Balteus Bloodletter in Butcher's Block. He's an expert in staging such contests.
- Whoever reaches Balteus first advances to the second round. Take a moment to decide, and then tell me which path you're taking. Best of luck.
- Listen here, norn. It's loud, it's metal, it smells, and it's ugly. Someone has to know where it went.
- Hey, Slayer of Issormir! Your charr buddies are harassing me about that vehicle of yours. Tell 'em to cut it out! I'm too busy for this.
- Everybody calm down. Trader, just answer one question and we'll leave you alone: where did you last see the vehicle?
- Clear the courtyard! We're under attack by grawl! Get to safety, or get ready to fight!
- Wolf's muzzle! With all the angry customers, drunken warbands, and howling mad grawl, I should move my business to Divinity's Reach.
- Thanks for stepping in. Listen, I don't know where your vehicle is now, but I saw some dredge driving it east, toward Moledavia.
- Then we attack Moledavia! Burn it down and drive out over the flaming wreckage!
- It's too heavily fortified to just rush in. But I can get intel on where they're holding it. Then we can strike the right area.
- Can you get intel on when they might move it? We could ambush them instead.
- Not a bad idea, for a great drunken lout. Since this is your fault anyway, I'll let you decide: attack or ambush?
- Honored kodan, I come to see if you will hear the plea of a descendant of Romke. Do you know that name?
- Yes! Romke is well known in our tales as a strange but honorable southerner. If you brought me one of his line, I'll listen.
- I promise that you'll want to hear this. My ancestor carried a horn given to him by the kodan. It was passed down to me.
- It was stolen from me before I knew of its magical power. Now I need to find the horn before there are dire consequences.
- Your ancestor was wise in many ways, and a trusted ally of the kodan. But you...I do not know you yet, other than your tale of loss. So, in Koda's name, prove yourself to me.
- The dredge to the south ravage the land. Their mine director calls himself "The Overminer." Kill him and bring me proof of his death. In return, I will tell you all I know of the Horn Resounding.
- A worthwhile cause. The dredge plague both our races. I'll handle this "Overminer" and we'll talk again.
- Followed by Night
- At last. The Overminer will no longer tear out the heart of the land. You have satisfied Koda, and I will aid you.
- I have sensed a recent disruption in the balance of the land. I imagine it is this Son of Svanir you mention, this Varg. When he summons creatures with the horn, only more imbalance results.
- I have witnessed many active Sons of Svanir in Drakentelt. The disruption seems centered there.
- Drakentelt is a short jaunt south of here. If Varg is there with my horn, it should be simple enough to take it back.
- I will find you there and lend you Koda's strength. My people created this horn. We will help you find it.
- Yes. The slayer and I started this together, and we'll finish it that way. But we also wish to know more about the kodan people, and we welcome your presence.
- A fine battle! You fought with such skill, such precision. The dredge were no match for you.
- For us, you mean. Two heroes are better than one.
- Of course. These challenges will prepare you well for taking up the mantle of leadership. Now grab the weapon. Followed by Night owes us a story.
- There are some important questions to be answered.
- Are you lost or just stupid? This is Sons of Svanir territory. Run home before you get hurt.
- I'm here to challenge Nollarr, and I'm not leaving until he comes out and fights me.
- First I'll teach him manners, then I'll take his helm.
