- Revive Legionnaire Boneflayer
- In times woefully recent, two orphans ran away from their village to avoid the city orphanage. Kadmiel and his sister, Kamden, vowed they would never live there, no matter what.
- Kick dirt at it.
- Leave the raptor hatchling alone.
- They traveled into the forest as it began to snow. The children found a cave and huddled together, listening to the night noises. When dawn came, they found footprints in the snow.
- The vulture raptor hatchling seems focused now. It's waiting for a command.
- Order the raptor hatchling to use its teeth against the training pole.
- The indents were so large and deep, Kadmiel whispered, "It must be a jotun."
At which, a booming voice asked, "Who hunts in my glen?" - Order the raptor hatchling to use its claws against the training pole.
- Try something else.
- The kids ran, and the jotun pursued, footfalls shaking the ground—closer and closer—until an enormous hand closed around Kamden's arm and lifted her off the ground.
Kadmiel turned back. "Let go of my sister!" - You have shown the hatchling who is boss.
- I can't believe I drew patrol duty with this human. It's like I'm being punished...only worse.
- "Why are you in my forest?" The jotun's eyes were angry and its teeth sharp.
Kadmiel, being agile of mind, answered, "We...we came to slay the ancient buck that killed my father." - Don't let the legionnaires know they got to you. Grin and bear it.
- He might be only human, but you could teach him the charr way to fight.
- The jotun frowned. "Ancient buck?"
Kadmiel nodded. "My father found it, not far from here. Up the ridge, there. It gored him, and he died. It's probably there now." - Good luck with the ogres.
- Then you should make it out alive, and then never tell them.
- The giant narrowed its eyes at Kadmiel, then dumped Kamden into a snow bank and disappeared into the forest. The kids ran back to the village and went happily to the orphanage. The end.
- Reread the book.
- The legions would be so much better if they didn't have all these rules and orders.
- Can't wait to show you my take on the Infinity Ball. It'll be like we're collaborating—across time! Which I actually prefer, as it limits the amount of interaction with other people I have to endure.
- I'll leave you to it, then. Good luck. And thanks.
- You have to take the good with the bad.
- We are destined for greatness. Combining our collective genius and drive is a recipe for success of unimaginable proportions!
- A sound theory. Let's test it and the Infinity Ball simultaneously!
- Boy, it'd sure drive the brass crazy if I acted like I was happy fighting side-by-side with a human.
- The chest remains locked and won't open. A faint thrum of power emanates from it and seems to be growing stronger with every passing second.
- The owner of this chest will return soon.
- They'll rue the day they tried to punish you, soldier.
- The inscription reads, "Property of Rhendak. Only Rhandak may open! Thieves will suffer at his might."
- Leave the chest.
- Yeah. Of course, I couldn't give away any trade secrets, but I guess I could show him a couple of unclassified moves.
- It's a start.
- That's the spirit.
