- Vigil Crusader
- We train them here to work with the Wardens in defense of the Grove. They tend to be wild when they get here, but they calm down quickly.
- Priory Scholar
- Decimus the Historian
- Don't mind the pups. They talk big, but they know not to bite.
- What are you doing?
- Priory Historian Goshkia
- Lord Rodrigo of Cormoch
- I'm training sylvan hound pups to work with other Wardens. They're strong and loving. As long as you treat them with affection, they'll stick with you through thick and thin.
- Do you know anything about the Nightmare Court's thorn hounds?
- Shu Arai
- Sadly, I do. Nightmare courtiers train their hounds through fear and intimidation. The animals grow to hate everything around them, and when able to, they lash out at whatever they can.
- Is there any way to help them?
- Priory Researcher
- We've tried, but we've never been able to break them of their hate. It's more than just their heart that is tainted by nightmare. Their very bodies shift into something darker and more malevolent.
- I'm sorry to hear that.
- What brings you to our fair settlement?
- General Almorra Soulkeeper
- Banker
- Citizen
- Brigid's Overlook was built as a forward defense for the Grove. Now, it tracks undead activity in and around Ventry Bay. Additionally, settlers—like myself—have moved into the camp.
- Why are settlers out here?
- Ascalonian Cultist
- To learn. Life within the Grove is controlled and safe, but life as a whole is not. To learn how the world really works, we needed to embrace the wilderness and build our own lives.
- Worker[s]
- Inquest Assassin
- In the past, outsiders condemned my people to suffer, but now they've become our saviors. I'm sorry, but I can't trust you. I hope you prove me wrong.
- Inquest Assistant
- What happened to make you so untrusting?
- Inquest Extinguisher
- Hostile All
- A basic cloth rack has been added to your home instance.
- My family was taken during a krait attack. We were sheltering outsiders, and we offered them protection. During the battle, they turned their backs on us.
- You are fragile!
- Tower defenses upgraded and existing siege refreshed.
- The krait are murderers. They prey upon my people, taking captives and working them to death. Before they came, these shores were peaceful.
- What do you mean "before they came"?
- Amber Sandfall has been taken by the Pact.
- The krait haven't lived here long. They used to dwell deeper in the depths, but something drove them to the surface. I don't know what, and in all honesty, I don't want to find out.
- Thank you for the talk.
- Captain Bren
- I have much to learn. Tell me what you know.
- I know that pain is a natural part of life. Strength comes only through suffering. Because Dreamers reject pain, suffering, and death, they can never fully appreciate the gift of life.
- Dreamers?
- Mordremoth's champions have been set loose underneath the Silverwastes to attack the Pact.
- Those who embrace the Dream and Ventari's teachings as the only path. Much like the Soundless, they've cut themselves off from a vast part of themselves.
- A supply bull has left Red Rock Bastion and is heading toward Blue Oasis.
- I'm eager to learn more.
- Death is the greatest example of nightmare. All creatures fear it. Thinking beings spend their whole lives pretending it will never happen to them.
- So we must kill them.
