- I'll have to check it out. Thanks.
- I'm here for the fireworks and bonfires at night. Oh, and the big presentation. That should be any day now.
- Thanks. Have fun.
- I don't know. It happened during the ceremony. One of the dragon effigies just...started sparking. And then it was pure madness.
- People running, Lionguard rushing around. Bodies. I saw bodies. Those poor councillors. They were rushed to Fort Marriner. I haven't heard anything about their condition.
- Ah, I recognize you from our order. What can I do for a fellow scholar?
- Just curious. Why's a Priory historian here?
- Nothing. Just passing through.
- I'm sorry. Was there something you need? If not, I have to get back to chronicling.
- What are you chronicling?
- The Durmand Priory assigned me to record the new Dragon Bash festival. Can you imagine, a festival featuring dragons?
- They can't be celebrating them, right?
- Can't say that I can.
- Oh dear, no. It's a festival where people from across Tyria have come to symbolically bash dragons.
- But why?
- Interesting. Maybe I'll check it out.
- A number of reasons, it appears. Stress relief, finding a semblance of control over the looming threat of the dragons, venting anger, and just plain fun.
- How about you? Have you checked it out?
- Make sense.
- Oh no. I think it would jeopardize my productivity and objectivity. If I started frolicking, I'd never get anything written down.
- Limited-Use Minstrel Finisher[s]
- It's so terrible, isn't it? The violence. The destruction. I've been trying to find an official report, but the Lionguard haven't been forthcoming.
- Another festivalgoer, I presume. I'm curious, are you for or against Dragon Bash?
- I'm for it. We aren't praising the dragons; we're bashing them.
- I don't like it. We should kill the dragons first, then celebrate.
- I'm still making up my mind.
- I hear there was an electrocution and an attack by shadowy figures. At least my Roardina is safe. It's a small solace, but one I can wrap my arms around at night.
- My Roardina tells me this is a revival of an old Canthan celebration, although it's a little different. The old festival revered dragons, this one is devoted to attacking them.
- Who's Roardina?
- Ah, a free spirit. It must be so liberating to be one. Roardina dragged me away from my tomes to be here, then she scooted off to protest the festival. It's so like her.
- Roardina? A friend of yours?
- A pragmatic approach. I surmise you are the kind of person who eats balanced meals and always gets a good night's sleep. Not at all like my Roardina. I must confess I'm a little envious.
- Roardina?
- *sigh* My dearest, my love. My storm of laughter, the acrobat in the middle of my studious life. She confuses me and excites me all once. She's the reason I'm here.
- She sounds fun. Good-bye.
- She and her fellow protesters were crying out against Dragon Bash. I'm worried the Lionguard will arrest her, thinking she had something to do with the incident.
