- This is the last one!
- I better be getting back to my post. Keep in touch!
- Here's where we saw it. What do we do?
- Okay. Pile some lumber here and set it ablaze.
- Hey! It just flew away again!
- All part of the plan. Now, make another pile here.
- Ah, I get it.
- Hooo-hah! We did it?
- How did you like fighting with the Sentinels, human?
- That was incredible. How can something that large, made of crystal, fly?
- Heh. You should see the ones they get up in Blazeridge.
- Aquatic Ruins Fractal
- Thank you. Good luck.
- I know it's rubble, just like the humans who used to live in its shade. No offense. Now, if you want to hear a good story, let me tell you about Althea. We named our camp after her.
- Althea was Duke Barradin's daughter. She was sacrificed by Flame Legion and doomed to haunt this area.
- Who knows? Every once in a while somebody swears by their sire's snout that they saw her, but I ain't never myself. Kinda spooky, don't you think?
- Why'd you name your camp after a human?
- %str1%. You?
- Take your pick. Around here, trouble comes in two colors: ghostly white and separatist red. That's blood red. (laugh)
- I'll keep my eyes open. Bye.
- Burnham Wurmgut here. Welcome to Nolan. If you need anything, talk to Padar Grindaxe. Oh, and don't let your guard down beyond the village. It's not safe out there.
- What's the danger?
- Nice to meet you. Thanks for the tips.
- You mean this used to be Nolani?
- Destroy anything you can get your paws—err, hands—on, and take out as many of those Separatist humans as you can. I think they've got a few of our own in there too. Head on in and do your best for me.
- We seek to overthrow the mine's tyranical leaders. Will you stand with us?
- What do you use the copper for?
- That doesn't surprise me.
- Thanks. Good luck.
- Why did you train skelk to gather kindling?
- Because it's easier than training them to knit. Besides, I'm not gonna let this old leg injury of mine keep me from getting my work done.
- How did you injure your leg?
- How did you train these skelk?
- I think I should probably get started helping the troops.
- Hunting skelk, strangely enough. I was on my regular patrol keeping the skelk in the area away from the mill, when a group of the little creepy crawlers somehow got the better of me.
- That's how you hurt your leg?
- Say no more. I'm off to help the troops.
- Those little devils love to go for the knees. I fought on despite the injury, but by the time I put the last one down, I was exhausted. I couldn't even stand. I had to crawl all the way back here.
- It is an honor to meet such a dedicated soldier. You can count on my help.
- After I got this injury, I was put on permanent kindle-gathering duty. I'm proud to say I took many a splinter for the legions. During one foray, I came across a skelk nest full of eggs.
- A touching story, but I have to go.
- As I was gathering the eggs for food, they began to hatch. Since I like fried skelk hatchings almost as much as fried skelk eggs, I thought nothing of it until I started heading back.
- You're making me hungry. Go on.
- That reminds me, I have to grab a snack. Good-bye.
- The hatchlings followed me back thinking I was their parent. I don't like bonding with lunch before lunch, so I ignored them. Darned if I didn't look up to see one standing with a twig in its mouth.
- That's pretty impressive for a skelk hatchling.
- Impressive. but I have to go.
- Ix always was the smartest of the bunch. Also, the real looker. The others soon figuired it out. Over time I got them to break up the kindling rather than just scavenge for it.
- Will do.
