- I heard there were Seraph up here?
- What kind of dangers are out here?
- The Seraph wage an endless war against the centaurs. They operate out of Seraph's Landing to the far north west, while leaders of the three centaur tribes work together here to push into the valley.
- Where do things stand?
- The Seraph recently launched an assault on the centaur camps in the south but met with heavy resistance. There are rumors survivors may have escaped into the caves east of here along the waterline.
- I'll check it out. Thanks.
- Spiders have overrun the forest to the northwest. Bandits patrol the roads looking for an easy mark and seem to be claiming the area as their own. I've also heard talk of ghost problems at the ruins.
- Oh, pretty Seraphette, sweet as a rose. When I'm with you, all my troubles with local and federal law enforcement seem to fade away.
- You know this can't work right? You're a bandit. You rob people.
- What about your trouble with me?
- I'd gladly give up both my life with my sworn blood-brothers and my fight against the establishment and the idealistic monarchs running our nation into the ground in order to be with my pretty Seraphette.
- I guess that makes it better.
- Bandito, my sweet, sweet Bandito. You're the light of my life. If only I weren't duty bound to kill and/or capture you on sight.
- How did you two meet?
- What would your commanding officer say if he found you here?
- Love is never easy, although it's usually easi-er.
- On the battlefield. It was love at first sight. Our two forces met thirty-five more times before I could no longer stand to fight him.
- Touching.
- He would probably say, "It's time to be realistic, Seraphette. You don't even know his real name."
- Okay, I wasn't expecting that.
- Traveler Rendit
- Bandit Leader
- Romancing Seraphette
- Romancing Bandito
- Valerie
- Heidi
- Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine myself stuck here in the highlands.
- We don't have much time before the Risen mount a counter offensive. Hurry!
- What happened to you?
- Where's the rest of your unit?
- What are the bandits doing out here?
- Keep still, you'll only aggravate your wound.
- My unit was sent to investigate rumors of bandit forces colluding with centaurs in Wynchona. But we weren't prepared for the size of their operation. The bandits swarmed us before we had time to react.
- You were ambushed?
- We barely made it out alive. The bandits must have turned their attention to other operations. Otherwise, they would have come to finish us off by now.
- Stay sharp! This area is dangerous.
- No idea. They disappeared as quickly as they appeared. It's no wonder we've had such a hard time trying to track them all down.
- Those who weren't killed in the attack were dragged off deeper into the woods. Captain Marshall ordered the wounded back here to Rally Point while he and a small group went to rescue them.
- Excellent work! It's clear sailing to the landing now. Once the troops arrive we'll push the Risen back.
- Adventurers report the bandits were moving captives to a nearby centaur camp. It might be the missing villagers from Shaemoor. And if the two forces are working together, this could be catastrophic.
- Cover your ears!
- I'll keep my eye out for them.
- Bandits have set up shop to the southwest atop the spider dens. If you're brave enough to venture into the woods, you could find out how large their operation is and any weak points in their patrols.
- If you see any any of the Seraph hostages they took, do what you can to help them. While you're there, you can destroy the bandits' supplies and force them to come out where we can return the favor.
- Retrieve the Sanguinary Blade.
- The bandits are using spiders in the area to keep out the Seraph. Kill them when you see them.
- Get to the landing now and send those Risen back to the deep.
- Apatia, wasn't it? She gave us her name and rank, between all the screaming.
- Fishing up here is no mere sport. No simple pasttime. It's a contest of wills between a fisherman, his prey...and the giant drakes who will eat either in a trice.
- (sigh) I could stand here staring at the tapestry all day. Never before have I seen heroism encapsulated so well, or in such a high thread count.
