- The mad asura Kudu was here, but the heroes drove him out. Good! But now we have other troubles! Inquest! Slavedrivers! The military!
- You must be proud. Good luck.
- There's so much to see here! Everything's so big!
- Are you ready to go into the fahrar?
- No kidding.
- Yeah. I've even got my warband name all picked out—the Guts warband.
- What are your affinities?
- Won't you miss your parents?
- You're going to behave, right?
- I hope you get it. Bye.
- My mother says I'd make a great engineer, but my father wants me to be a soldier. He says I'm a natural with my axe.
- What do you want to do?
- Sounds like you're ready.
- Good luck, cub.
- Nah! Well maybe a little, but I'm almost halfway full grown now. I can take care of myself. I'll probably be the strongest in the whole fahrar.
- You think you can bully them?
- Dredge Cannonball
- You bet your left horn, I will. I'm a good soldier. I want to make my parents proud of me. Besides, I know what they do to you if you act up.
- What do they do, smarty-snout?
- Maybe not bully, but I'll definitely be a strong leader. I'm smart, and look at my muscles. The other cubs'll follow me, or I'll kick their tails.
- My father says the first offense, they make you clean toilets. Second offense, they put you in jail. And third offense, they send you to the Bane for execution by gargoyles.
- I dunno. Mother says I got a dozen years before I take my Ordeal, so I got tons of time to decide. Once we pass the Ordeal, me and my warband will leave the fahrar like conquerors.
- Atrona
- You'd really do that just for a wrench?
- Excuse me, but is that the scrapyard over there?
- Isn't trimming a charr's claws in his sleep dangerous?
- I swear, if those blockheads don't return my favorite wrench, I'll trim their claws while they're sleeping.
- Let me at 'em. I'll...murderfy...'em...
- Nah, I can't blame 'em for joking around. My warband gets bored just cutting and riveting iron. But without us, all the legion's got is a bunch of useless slabs of metal.
- Got it. See you around.
- No. Declawing a fellow Iron Legionnaire is a crime that could get you tossed into the Bane. You might shave your initials in your legion-mate's fur, but the claws are off limits.
- Yup. All the legions' scrap metal comes here. Worn-out weapons, blown-to-bits bits of shrapnel, artificial limbs that lost an owner. We take it and turn it into new deadly stuff.
- They say you never get over the feel of it, either. You work here?
- Sure. See you around.
- I never get over the sight of that molten iron. Know what I mean?
- So, who runs the smelter?
- Sadly, no. But I come here when I'm off-duty. It relaxes me. So orange and warm. Not to mention the occasional accident.
- Good to know. See you around.
- The Scorch warband have been in charge here ever since the smelter was constructed. They pass their knowledge of metallurgy and alloy production from generation to generation.
- Where do all the weapons come from?
- Need gems but have gold? Trade in your coins for gems!
- Not really. Good-bye.
- Ever stop to think about what it takes to arm all the warbands out in the world? Legions of charr warriors, all carrying the highest grade weaponry. It boggles the mind.
- Most are made right here. Iron Legion specializes in long-lasting, straight-shooting weaponry. From pistols to cannons. If it was mass-produced, it came from the citadel arsenal.
- Why is that lucky?
- Ha! Stupid seperatists, getting in the way of me killing Flame Legion! Seriously, I hate those guys.
- We send caravans with a troop escort. If we're lucky, the weapons arrive without incident. But if we're really lucky, we get ambushed by someone or something trying to steal them.
- Keep at it. Good-bye
- Most of the time. But there are warbands out in the farthest reaches that are cut off. We're doing what we can to get to them. The area around the Brand is especially tough.
- What's so special about them?
