- The Wizard's Tower is unlike anywhere I've traveled to within the bounds of Tyria—it looked much smaller from below. To think this place floated just above the coast of Garenhoff all this time—silently watching us wage war against the Elder Dragons... I still wonder why they didn't intervene, but that's a question for Isgarren when all of this is said and done. Just as "Bad Lyhr" managed to squeeze his way through the tower's defense mechanisms, so did the Kryptis. Mabon and Zojja took a small group to clear one wing, while Lyhr and Dagda led another. We regrouped outside the Hall of Confluence—the heart of the Wizard's Tower—once the inner perimeter was secure. With the apex of the tower's magic functioning once again, we'll be able to travel to Amnytas and support the Astral Ward on the front line.

- **Sylvari Recruitment Retrospective** *The following notes are part of a formal assessment of the sylvari people as viable recruits for future efforts by Mabon, the current Wizard of Strength.* **1303 AE**: The tree nurtured by Ventari has borne fruit, so to speak. Out of respect for Isgarren's wishes, I'll keep my distance for now. To think, these new beings are experiencing this world for the first time not just as individuals but as a people. What I would give to know what that's like. **1306 AE**: I met a sylvari the other day. My charr disguise frightened Malbi at first, but she came around after I rescued her from the local krait. She had so many questions for me about the charr and the world, and I did my best to answer. I admit, I felt guilty for the deception. **1316 AE**: The alarm wards were triggered just south of the Beacon of Ages a few days back. A lone sylvari had bypassed our magical defenses only to pause in the beacon's shadow. She introduced herself as Narcisse. When asked how she came to be here, we learned of her "Wyld Hunt," calling her to the beacon, and of her visions of threats beyond this world. With her permission, Lyhr and I brought her before the others. **1328 AE**: I have been careless. In my efforts to include the sylvari in our ranks, it never occurred to me that behind them was a deeper and sinister intent, unknown, even to their own kind. Many were resilient when Mordremoth's call came, while others had to be restrained, temporarily. It did not take long for the four of us to enhance the magical defenses around the tower and Amnytas and sever the Elder Dragon's influence. Isgarren said little to me in the following days, but his anger was as plain as day. Dagda assured me it would pass. **1333 AE**: Dagda took on a sylvari apprentice recently: Ceri. She's brilliant, but she's quick to doubt at times. especially when the lessons get hard. Zojja's been a good friend to her, often helping her with spell crafting or late-night studies. It has only been thirty or so years, yet I find it difficult to imagine the world and the Astral Ward without them, their perspectives, and their experiences. Perhaps that could be said for many beyond our order. Maybe now, Isgarren might listen to reason.

- It had been too long since I returned to Caledon to check on the state of the market. Ever since the birth of the sylvari, I've monitored the area as closely as I could without interfering with nature. But...I've had an urge to check in on their well-being. After Mordremoth, I needed to see how they were faring. It feels cruel that I hadn't checked in sooner. I didn't wear my face, as I promised to Isgarren (should he find this account), but these are some of the few non-Astral Ward that know my real name. Who know who I am—despite presenting as an especially kind-faced charr. And Ofilia's scream when I rounded the path made the venture out of Amnytas worth it. We only sat for a short while, watching travelers pass. Myrtle prepared us some fresh basil tea with just a pinch of buttermilk—I never tire of Tyrian cuisine. They were well, it seemed. Things in the Grove have been uneasy since Mordremoth's rise and death, but they were moving in a direction of peace. Some sylvari have left the shadow of the Pale Tree in search of what's next; others have lost faith, but even the Nightmare Court has calmed in the following years. Fewer attacks, at least. We recounted our first meeting—that dreary day. Many of the sylvari still lingered within the warm embrace of the Grove, but Malbi was curious about the world. Barely a few months old, and one of the few brave enough to not only venture into the wild but live beyond the walls of their garden sanctuary. The market hadn't been established, but she called that little red bulb home. I was headed back from the jungle when I heard her scream. The krait had found her little sanctuary. I expelled the enemy, and... Poor Malbi; surely she didn't know what to do with me either. Had never seen a charr before as the cease-fire was still recent, and even if I sculped that identity to be as warm as possible, having a large feline stand before her was frightening nonetheless. When I convinced her that I was no foe, her face lit up with joy—the same curiosity I attribute to all their kind. Lovely, beautiful creatures. My visit was cut short when I felt Isgarren's pull at the back of my mind, beckoning me back to the Wizard's Tower. I held my friends for a long moment. And then I left. I won't take as long to visit them next time.
- Guess I hit a sore spot.
- Indeed. Turai Ossa, a storied figure for many. He was here at one point—whether in spirit or not, I could not say...
