- Hal? As I recall, he patrols the eastern edge of Divinity's Reach. Hero, why don't you find out what he knows? I'll guard the queen.
- Minister Arton
- My krewe's Interspatial Translocator won us the Snaff Prize, but the Inquest claimed we had stolen their designs. Councillor Flax let us keep the victory, but he gave our invention to the Inquest until an official inquiry could be conducted. Zojja spoke up for us, but to no avail. We refused to take this lying down, and with Zojja's help, we headed out to to reclaim our krewe's property.
- Iowerth: Prepare yourself, champion. The ritual begins.
- MONSTER ONLY Spider Unarmed Boss
- Strengthened by the Bloodstone.
- Power of the Bloodstone
- Those bandits caught us off guard, but they didn't steal anything. It was as if they just wanted to kill people.
- I suspect they were here to kill you, Dansky. I need to speak with you. I'm investigating accusations of treason related to the fall of Falcon Company.
- Falcon Company was the finest unit I ever served with. If I hadn't been recovering from an injury, I'd have been with them that day.
- You must know something. Tell me: did you ever see Tervelan meet with a minister?
- No. My job was to deliver messages for the Seraph. The ones I brought from Tervelan were addressed to "Minister Arton"—but I know for a fact that Arton never got those letters.
- After Falcon Company fell, I found out that the guy I'd been delivering them to didn't even work in Arton's office. Nobody'd ever seen him before.
- Lionguard Dansky
- All right. We freed you. Now, tell us about the grizwhirls.
- Mmm. The grizwhirls temporarily render the weak-willed susceptible to suggestion. They make any party thirty-three percent more fun. The Ringmaster loved it! He was very complimentary—at first.
- We think the Ringmaster is planning something big.
- I'm not surprised. He asked many questions about increasing the grizwhirl's power and range. He wanted the schematics, but I refused—on principle!
- Could he modify the grizwhirls you made? Maybe use a super-powered version to affect a large group of people?
- Yes. He's clever enough to pull that off, and if that's his plan, he'll probably do it at the circus's next big show, when his audience will be as vast as possible.
- Guild Heavy Helmet[s]
- Thank you. This may fail, but I have to at least try. I wouldn't feel that way if not for you. I'll meet you in Lion's Arch.
- Great Kormir, he could incite a full-scale riot. The Seraph would have to respond with force. It'd be a bloodbath. We've got to stop him.
- Uzolan
- This doesn't look good. Who are all these people? Do you recognize any of them?
- They're carnies. See that vacant look on their faces? It's the same look the mob that attacked me had. They're being controlled.
- I'm not amused. They're after the man we need to talk to, so let's clear ourselves a path to Uzolan. Maybe he'll be grateful enough to help us.
- Ladies and gents, that was Big Top Bruno, the Human Cannonball—almost as intelligent as his namesake. Take a bow, Bruno!
- Are you Uzolan? Are you all right? What are you doing in there?
- I am Uzolan, the great inventor, yes. I built this magnificent force field to keep me safe from those crazy carnies, but, I've been stuck for hours! Get me out of here!
- You invented the grizwhirls, right? Did you know the Ringmaster is using them as mind-control devices?
- That explains why the carnies attacked me. They want the grizwhirl's schematics. But, these confined quarters are not conducive to measured discourse. In simpler terms: GET! ME! OUT!
- Settle down. We'll get you out. Just tell us how to shut down the force field.
- Thank you. This may fail, but I have to at least try. And to be honest, I wouldn't feel that way if not for you. I'll look for you in Lion's Arch.
- To fight well, you have to be aware of your body. You must relax and balance your weight. Would you like me to show you what I mean?
- Easy-peasy. Destroy those Turbo Buzzers out there. That will overload the force field's energy processors. Careful, though. I invented them to electrocute would-be vandals.
- Meet Trahearne at the Chantry of Secrets.
- Get into position, everyone. I'll approach, and when they make their move, you all rush in and spring the trap.
- You, Captain? No offense, but the Shining Blade and the White Mantle have a long history. Don't you think I would make a more tempting lure?
- No doubt. But wouldn't that seem a little suspicious? You out walking alone, the queen nowhere in sight... At least I move about on my own regularly.
- Camera
- That's a good point. Where do you want us, then, Captain? Anywhere is fine, so long as we're close to the action.
- The ruins at the top of this hill would make for good cover. They're well elevated; we'd be able to see and hear everything.
- Sounds perfect. Just be ready to move quickly when things turn ugly.
- Well, Captain Thackeray! A long way from home, aren't we? I thought we saved you for last, but since you're here...
- Oh dear. Oh, mercy. The White Mantle is upon me. Woe! Lamentation! Is this the end for poor Logan?
- Are...are...are you mocking me? I don't think you understand how this works. White Mantle! Give the captain a demonstration.
- Bronze Torch Head[s]
- No, thanks. I think I already have a pretty good idea. Now!
- Inquisitor Mirella
